Bridal Appointment FAQ

Do I need to book an appointment?

Yes, we offer 1 hour appointments with our experienced Bridal Consultants to get to know you and your style. You will be helped to get into your chosen gowns as well as encouraged to try on dresses which you might not have considered before!

Will I be charged for an appointment?

There are no charges for appointments between Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm. Other times including evenings and weekends, a fee of £30 will charged. We operate a 72 hour cancellation policy to ensure we can offer the appointment on our waiting list. There is a charge of £30 for failure to cancel in time.

How many people can I bring?

We do ask you to bring no more than 4 guests whom you most value their opinion and most wish to share that experience with. Too many guests might detract the attention from you and therefore can make decision making harder. If you do have more than 4 guests please do let us know and we will try to accommodate you.

Can we come in early and browse before my appointment starts?

Our appointments take up the entire store therefore we do not have any separate waiting space. If you are early for your appointment or we are running behind, we do ask you to kindly grab a coffee nearby and come back when we are ready.

Can I bring a pram or young children?

There is a small step at the entrance leading from the street into our store. Therefore if you are bringing a young baby in a pram, please do let us know in advance and we will help you every step of the way! We can also ensure you will be in the space upstairs for your appointment. We do not however recommend young children in the store as there are pins and mirrors around which makes it very unsafe for young children.

Will there be other appointments in store?

There will be maximum of 3 separate bridal appointments. Our store consists of 1 changing room on ground floor and 2 in the basement area.

Can I take photos?

We do not allow photography when you are trying on dresses. This is to protect the copy right of the Designer’s work. Also lighting and bad angles often distort the gown therefore giving a false impression. Once you have purchased your gown, you can take photos as you wish or ask one of our consultants to assist you.

Skype is possible of your favourite gown for your family should they be abroad.

Can I just pop in and browse anytime?

We work by Appointment only to ensure our consultant stylists are booked for your personal attention. For that reason we don’t allow people to come in and browse the store as that can disrupt the current bride’s appointment. We can then focus all our attention on the bride and make sure her appointment time is used effectively.

What sizes are your samples?

We have samples in sizes between a UK 10, 12 and 14 depending on shape of the gown.

What is your price range?

We offer made-to-order gowns from £1000 to £7500. Should you have a budget below this, we have over 60 styles of ready-to-buy Sample gowns you can purchase and can take away with you on the day. Please email us.

Do I need to bring anything like shoes and special underwear?

You are welcome to bring shoes similar to what you might like to wear for your wedding day. We do also have various shoes for brides to use during their Appointment.

Backless or Strapless bras are most helpful but not essential. Stick on cups or low back basques are also useful to wear to ensure you are comfortable and could provide good support for your actual Wedding day. Also it is helpful to bring pictures of gowns you have seen on blogs or website, or you have tried on elsewhere.

Most importantly come with an open mind! It is quite usual for customers to find THE ONE during their first visit at Angelica Bridal!
